KEF X LOTUS
Two British Icons, KEF and Lotus team up again to launch The KEF LS60 Wireless Lotus Edition in British Racing Green.
KEF has already created the most immersive in-car audio system to complement the unrivalled driving experience offered by Lotus, starting with audio systems made for the Lotus Emira and the latest Eletre “Hyper SUV” model.This time their collaboration is focused on in-home audio products with the LS60; a fitting continuation of a partnership between the two iconic British brands; and personally I don’t think it will be their last.
Mr Gumbatron had the honour of attending the official launch of the KEF LS60 Wireless Lotus Edition at the KEF Music Studio in Harbour City, Hong Kong earlier last month.
The KEF team introduced the collaboration and unveiled the new colour-way which is first collaboration of an in-home product and it’s remarkably striking. A live audio demonstration was also experienced within the beautifully curated space of KEF Music Studio (KMS), a much smaller and intimate version of their global flagship KEF Music Gallery (KMG) in Central Hong Kong. Inspired by the Lotus F1 cars of the past, the limited edition LS60 features a beautiful matte finish British Racing Green body as well as subtle gold accents and Lotus branding on the front. I must say it already looks incredible in photos but in person, the speakers are even more vibrant and they selected the perfect shade of green which is both elegant and a true homage to the Lotus Racing heritage.

In-car audio Hyper-realistic sound in motion The KEF in-car audio system for Lotus is intricately tuned by the same engineering team responsible for the performance of KEF’s flagship premium loudspeakers including Blade and The Reference. Via technologies including a dedicated automotive version of KEF’s signature Uni-Q driver array, Shadow Flare, Uni-Core and 3D surround sound, KEF in-car audio systems offer incredibly accurate and coherent sound for both the driver and passengers.

Michael Young and the KEF Design team are responsible for the contemporary sleek design of the LS60, this is not the first time KEF has collaborated with Michael, other product designs include the LSX and KC62.
