The latest model LSX is a wireless stereo speaker system that combines decades of audio engineering with modern wireless technology, KEF says the LSX Wireless System will give your music “space to breathe” and “Give your music the space it deserves”.
UNI-Q
The LSX comes with KEF’s breakthrough Uni-Q driver array. By placing the tweeter at the centre of the midrange and bass cone, it radically improves stereo imaging. This not only makes music sound clear, detailed and lifelike, it does so across a wider audio band.
DESIGN
Designed by the acclaimed product designer Michael Young, LSX’s design achieves a fine balance of form and function. Carefully considered details include port accent colours and a colour changing LED to subtly indicate which source is selected.
Being the minimalist that I am, it was an obvious choice when it come to selecting the finish of my pair of LSX, I opted for the gloss white. Other colours available include maroon, olive, blue and black.
One of the shortfalls of the gloss white is that you miss out on the Danish Kvadrat fabric finish that is on all the other colour ways, I love this tactical detail. The speakers also feature a color-changing LED to subtly indicate which audio source you are using.
On the back of the master speaker you have a TOSLINK optical port (great for connecting to your TV), AUX and ethernet ports, as well as a subwoofer output for an additional subwoofer (which I would recommend, if you like bass). Each speakers has an individual AC output to connect it to the mains.
SPEAKER STAND
The S1 Floor Stand takes it design cues from KEF’s Performance Speaker Stand. A cable management system hides any wires, while the integrated mounting system rigidly bonds LSX and the stand together, creating the perfect platform for the speaker to perform. The stand has great cable management, which is something i’m obsessed with.
