HENNESSY X.O x KIM JONES.
The collaboration between the British fashion designer Kim Jones and the French cognac maison Hennessy includes a pair of sneakers, a limited-edition bottle, and a masterpiece decanter.
Continuing its run of highly-coveted artistic collaborations, Hennessy X.O takes a different approach to its partnerships for 2023. Hennessy has collaborated with artists, producers, architects and designers in the past and this year Hennessy X.O enters the world of fashion for the first time — enlisting acclaimed designer Kim Jones.
Kim Jones explores the convergence of man and machine through a bold collaboration that transcends time, bridging the gap between cognac and couture and bringing new life to the legacy of Hennessy X.O.
Translating the intricacies of couture fashion into the heritage cognac brand, this collaboration ushers a new direction for Hennessy X.O. Through the lens of contemporary design, Jones reinterprets the brand’s 150-year history. The partnership itself marks the fusion of two leading forces at the forefront of driving culture forward who are pushing the boundaries of their established disciplines. The collection boasts an exclusive Masterpiece decanter, a limited-edition Hennessy X.O bottle as well as a Hennesys’s first. A pair of sneakers names HNY Low designed by Kim Jones.

HNY LOW SNEAKERS BY KIM JONES.
This collaboration marks a first for Hennessy, too, with its debut into the fashion world. The HNY Low by Kim Jones, are a pair of basketball-inspired kicks rendered in a deep Cognac suede inspired by the velvet textures and colours of Hennessy X.O.
The premium sneaker was produced at an LVMH-owned shoe factory in Italy, its quality is incredible, some of the finest finished sneakers I have come across, The overall design is understated and monotone, Subtle branding details including ehe initials “KJ” and Hennessy’s emblem are featured on the sole and tongue. The limited sneakers come presented in an elegant oak box, that revisits the barrels used to age the euax-de-vie, which to me is a highlight and masterpiece on its on merit.

THE X.O LIMITED EDITION.
The collaboration also features a limited edition ‘ready-to-wear’ version of the carafe specially imagined by Kim Jones. The Hennessy X.O bottle, encased in an aluminium second skin, is an elegant representation of fashion, culture, and the excellence of this iconic blend.

MASTERPIECE DECANTER.
The decanter features an organic, twisted metal case, which was inspired by the delicate tissue paper used to wrap bottles of Hennessy cognac in the late 19th century.
“When I saw how the vintage Hennessy bottles were wrapped, it spoke volumes to me about how precious each one is, and how they were handled. I was particularly touched by their history and the sense of how generations have dedicated their time to making each step of the process better and better. That same process also holds true with fashion,” said Kim Jones.
Using modern 3D-printing techniques and meticulously finished by hand, the Hennessy X.O Masterpiece is limited to just 200 pieces. The titanium casing twists beautifully around the bottle, much like the draping of an elegant gown enhancing the curves of a body. The vessel was then dipped in gradient colors that reflect shades of the different eaux-de-vie selected by the master blender to create the perfect Hennessy X.O.
The cognac also comes complete with a fusil designed by Kim Jones, an elegant and playful ritual to serve a glass of the Hennessy X.O blend.
