GRAMS28 is a brand that manufacturers small leather accessories, these include iPhone cases, AirPods cases, Apple watch straps, satchels, laptop bags and backpacks. I first came across whilst browsing on Instagram, with its minimal aesthetic, and being a brand with its roots in Hong Kong, I was instantly a fan from beginning.
155 BRIEFCASE.
The 155 Briefcase; the ultimate workhorse, a durable, elevated work bag perfect for the modern gentleman.
The 155 Briefcase allows for ultimate organisation with its custom-made interior. Fitted with plenty of pocket space and compartments for all your accessories and peripherals such was pens, cables, chargers and power banks, it even has a water bottle slot. The briefcase features an in-built laptop sleeve (to fit up to a 16” MBP) with a secure strap to ensure your laptop doesn’t move about, there is also a smaller padded sleeve designed for an iPad or tablet. Numerous regular and mesh pockets can be used to store personal items, including two generously sized zipped compartments for extra security and assurance for storing important A4 documents or personal items.
The briefcase features flat leather handles, which are aesthetic, made from durable 3mm thick Italian vegetable-tanned leather which will age beautifully with time and use. Although personally I would have preferred the handles to have a rounded profile for greater comfort. the flat handles however complement nicely the overall design of the bag.
The zippers are high quality, and are finished in a matte black appearance, which matches beautifully with the concealed water proof zippers, the zipper actually runs down the full height of the briefcase allowing the bag to open up like a clam shell for easier access to the contents inside. The bag has great structure to its base and side walls so you don’t need to worry about it loosing its shape when opened up entirely.
The bag features premium and reliable YKK matte black zippers, the zipper themselves are concealed and features a water proofing membrane on the outside that also keeps the zipper hidden and waterproof.
As with all Grams28 products, they feature the Finest Italian Leathers; The main body of the 155 Briefcase is crafted from pebbled leather from the Gruppo Mastrotto tannery in Italy according to the ‘barcode’ stamped on the bags exterior next to the brand logo. The environmentally certified full grain leather exterior also has water proofing properties, making it the perfect bag for all weather use, there no need to worry about potentially getting permanent water spot marks on the leather. It also worth noting that the stitching quality is outstanding as with all of Grams28 bags.
The 155 Briefcase comes with an adjustable shoulder strap (25mm) for easy, hands-free carry whenever you need it, making commuting easy and comfortable. On the exterior there is a small front pocket is designed to fit your phone for easy access, so you never have to struggle with your belongings. A strap at the back of the bag acts as a luggage pass-through, allowing you to travel in convenience with your briefcase though busy airports by simply slipping the briefcase over the handle bars of your carry-on luggage bag, There is also one more concealed zipped compartment behind the strap for other quick access necessities, such as travel documents.
There is padding at the bottom of the briefcase which provides extra protection for your items at all times, there are also feet on the base of the bag so it can stand upright without additional support.

159 Folio Pro.
Now onto the second bag, the 159 Folio Pro, a great option for those looking for a slimmer profile briefcase or something specifically made for carrying around a laptop.
The 159 Folio Pro is a compact and understated briefcase, with the same overall quality and finishing as the 155 Briefcase, essentially the same high quality you would expect from all Grams28 products
The 159 Folio pro takes on more of a traditional briefcase exterior styling with large pockets that run the width of the briefcase on both sides of the bag, these are great for storing documents, notebooks or even your phone and wallet for quick and easy access. I find these pockets highly functional as an essential feature for all briefcases.
Notably the straps on this bag are more padded than those found on the 155 Briefcase, which is a welcomed touch, however those of you with larger hands might find the handles a little short.
The bag features the same zipper detail as the 155 briefcase, with black hardware and a concealed zipper that runs the height of the bag for full access to the interior.
The interior padded sleeve is made to protect and keep your tech safe while travelling. Organisation pockets help keep your charger, phone, wallet, AirTag and other belongings in the right place. There is a separate sleeve made just for your laptop (up to a 16” MBP). Keep your documents or other flat items in the main compartment space. Even without looking, it's easy to reach for what you need. Overall the interior of the 155 Folio Pro is more simple but it covers all the essentials and keeps everything well organised within such a slim profile.
The 155 Folio Pro also has a detachable and easily adjustable strap for hands-free carrying when you're on the go. Worry less about your belongings and stay stress-free on your commute to work and around town.
The 159 Folio Pro is the ultimate mobile office. Designed to hold everything you need for work without compromising on style or convenience.
One of my favourite features of the bag is the side compartments, I use it to hold a slim wallet and important documents such as my passport and boarding pass when I am travelling.

One of the things that you first notice on GRAMS28 products is a code hot stamped onto their accessories, what may seem as purely aesthetic at first, is actually a very clever way device that acts somewhat like a SKU “stock keeping unit” code for consumers, Ten numbers, divided into three sets, are de-bossed in white on each product. Each set of number corresponds to a different meaning that can be traced back to the origin of each product. It refers to style number, material provider, material type and the makers that make the product. The code reminds me of the ‘barcode’ found on the side of Common Project sneakers which serves a similar purpose.
GRAMS28 gives consumers the power to know exactly what you are buying by breaking down every product to its raw materials and trace back to their origin, so they can understand more than where their products were made.
