OMEGA SEAMASTER PLANET OCEAN LAUNCH AT QUAY

The Quay Restaurant, Sydney

The Quay Restaurant, Sydney

LUNCH WITH OMEGA

An exclusive lunch held at The Quay which is one of Australia's most awarded restaurants, and one of two Australian restaurants on the prestigious S. Pellegrino World's Top 50 List set the mood for the launch of Omega's new Seamaster Planet Ocean range of diving watches.

The event took place in Sydney on the 20th June 2016, where Australian Media and high profile guests arrived to Sydney’s prestigious Quay Restaurant to find deep sea rock formations and stunning timepieces on display overlooking the harbour. We Aussies were the second market in the world to preview this new range of Omega's Seamaster Planet Ocean timepeices since being revealed at Basel World in late March earlier this year.

The lunch at The Quay was exclusive and intimate, the afternoon began with Champagne and Canapés on the outdoor deck as we socialised amongst fellow distinguished guests overlooking Sydney's most iconic landmark the Sydney Opera House. We then headed inside for a sit down for lunch. The food prepared by renowned chef Peter Gilmore was exceptional and the conversations around the table were purposeful and inspiring. The event was a great opportunity to network with other like minded watch enthusiasts, key media parties and people of the industry.

Head of Product Management, Gregory Kissling also made a special two day visit from OMEGA Headquarters in Switzerland for the presentation.

He unveiled 6 unique pieces of the Deep Black Collection, which had only been release one week prior, in New York City.

Omega showed a brand new case style to the popular Planet Ocean line – that of a fully ceramic diver with GMT function for divers who like to travel. The new Planet Ocean Deep Black range is a large 45.5 mm in diameter watch. They are all built from a single block of ceramic, and feature helium escape valves at 10 o'clock. Inside, you'll find the excellent OMEGA Master Chronometer caliber 8906 and exceptional anti-magnetic movement with was tested and demonstrated on the day from one of their in-house watch makers.
